Now more informations about our school:

logo american schoolAmerican School of Valencia is a Nursery to Grade 12 co-educational, non-profit parent-owned school offering an American-style education to children in the local and international communities of Valencia. The school was founded in 1980 and is now attended by over 730 students, 90% of which are Spanish. ASV is located 20 km from the city centre, in a residential area in the hills north of Valencia. Surrounded by orange groves and pines overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the school offers our students a healthy as well as beautiful environment. picture1Our bus service offers fifteen routes covering the city of Valencia and smaller towns and villages. There are special buses for after-school activities. There are four large outside sports and playground areas, a new gymnasium, a football field and a large swimming pool. There are 2 computer labs, science labs, senior and junior libraries, a music room, an art room, a theatre and large cafeteria. The faculty has a lounge and a workroom equipped with computers and resources.
picture2ASV is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is fully recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education, thereby qualifying its graduates for entrance to American, Spanish and other universities throughout the world. ASV is affiliated with the European Council of International Schools (E.C.I.S.) and the Mediterranean Association of International Schools (M.A.I.S.)
picture3Currently the school offers a complete range of studies for students from 2 to 18 years of age. Students graduate with the American High School Diploma, the IB Diploma (if selected) and the corresponding official Spanish certificates. We are proud of our 100% pass rate in the Selectividad, the Spanish university entrance exam. In order to provide a high quality education, ASV engages a professional international team of teaching and non-teaching staff, carefully selected by the school administration.
The involvement of families is basic to the success of the students at ASV. This has been demonstrated over the past 27 twenty-seven years and has contributed to the academic excellence and personal growth of the students during this time.
